my Subject

my subject of study is how to use techniques ( sound effect, music, body language, lens)to narrative in silence comedy, especially to express  the feeling of actor.

Mon Oncle (My Uncle) is a 1958 comedy film by French filmmakerJacques Tati. The first of Tati's films to be released in colour,^[3] Mon Oncle won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film,^[4] aSpecial Prize at the 1958 Cannes Film Festival,^[5] and the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Foreign Language Film, receiving more honors than any of Tati's other cinematic works.

 Jack tati use a lot of sound effect. especially in kitchen scene

In the film, jack tati use the sound of eating food to narrative the background-this family is eating for lunch.

At beginning, the sound of Electric current

Jack tati focus on hand and facial expression, he want to touch everything but feel  a little afraid.
